Can you Waterproof Roof Tiles?
When waterproofing a tile roof, we start by stripping all old waterproofing, we repair all loose and broken cement on ridge tiles, and replace broken or cracked tiles. Then we fill up valleys, if applicable, with a screed mixture and allow this to dry. We waterproof all ridge tile saddles vertically and ridge tiles, covering the first row of tiles, horizontally with three coats of an acrylic saturator with an SBP membrane, embedded between two coats. Valleys are waterproofed, if applicable, as well as all flashings. Thereafter the entire roof area is washed down and allowed to dry, and all waterproofed areas are painted with two coats of acrylic roof paint to match the tile colour as close as possible. All that is left after the waterproofing has been completed, is to remove all the rubble from the site.
